Pulmuone is awarded Highly Outstanding Company in 2020 ESG Evaluation which assesses ratings of non-financial values by categories of environmental, social and governance.
Pulmuone announced on 27th that the company was selected as a Highly Outstanding Company in the 2020 Best ESG Company Awards ceremony hosted by the Korea Corporate Governance Service at Korea Exchange Seoul Office, becoming the nation’s only food company to be rated overall A+ grade for four consecutive years.
Pulmuone is also the only food company to obtain overall A+ grade in the country this year. Selected as an Outstanding Company in 2019, Pulmuone is now awarded a Highly Outstanding Company, which is given to two companies out of 40 candidates listed by Korea Corporate Governance Service.
By evaluation categories, Pulmuone received ratings of A in environmental, A+ in governance rating and A+ in social.
KCGS, a member organization of Korea Exchange, has conducted ESG evaluation since 2011 to measure the level of sustainable management and help listed Korean companies seek improvement.
Based on independently developed evaluation models reflective of domestic and international business management circumstances, KCGS applies 281 core evaluation criteria to assess environmental, social and governance ratings of companies and selects awardees of best ESG companies every year.
“We highly recognize Pulmuone’s efforts to establish evaluation systems for environmentally sustainable management, implement socially responsible activities related to its business sector and ensure independent, diversified rights of corporate boards,” said a KCGS official commenting on Pulmuone’s nomination for Highly Outstanding ESG Company and overall A+ rating.
