KCC announced on Nov. 17 that it has won the Platinum Award, the highest grade in the U.S.' "2020 Spotlight Awards" sustainability report category, which evaluates the competitiveness of corporate promotional materials and communication materials worldwide.
The Spotlight Awards is organized by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP), a global public relations and marketing research organization.
The company will select the best works in 11 fields based on various publications published by companies such as annual reports, brochures, videos and newsletters. This year, more than 500 companies from 12 countries competed, and awarded platinum, gold, silver and bronze prizes.
KCC's "2019/20 KCC Sustainability Report" won the Platinum Award, the grand prize, with 99 out of 100 points. In particular, it received perfect scores in five of the total of six evaluation categories, including creativity, message delivery and design. The report ranked 14th in the competition's outstanding works "TOP 100" selected by LACP.
KCC has been publishing it every year since 2015 in accordance with the international standards ISO 26000 and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) report preparation standards. Since its publication, it has achieved excellent results in many outstanding competitions at home and abroad every year and is at a high level compared to reports by other companies and organizations.
On Oct. 16, it was selected the No. 1 company in the field of building materials for the "Korean Sustainability Index" and won the Korean Readers' Choice Awards (KRCA) at the same time. Anyone can check out the reports through KCC's website.
