Ssangyong Motor said on Jan. 18 that Rexton Sports has been consistently recognized in overseas markets as it has been selected as an excellent model in a series of auto magazines in the U.K.
Rexton Sports (local name Musso) was recently named the Best Pickup category at the 44th What Car? of the Year 2021 Awards hosted by the prestigious British auto magazine What Car in Europe.
"It's not only the ultimate use of pick-up with excellent loading capabilities, but it's also a stylish engine and smart interior that allows us to enjoy excellent driving and use," What Car said on Rexton Sports.
In December last year, the British four-wheel drive magazine 4X4 also selected Rexton Sports as the Best Value and the Rexton Sports Khan as the "Best Individual Model" at the Pick-up of the Year 2021.
In particular, Rexton Sports has been selected as the best pick-up model for three consecutive years, confirming its popularity.
"The pickup market is full of affordable models, but nothing beats the Rexton Sports in terms of price, specifications, towing capabilities and cargo-loading capabilities," 4X4 said, adding, "The Rexton Sports Khan is a new model with longer wheelbase than the Rexton Sports."
Rexton Sports is also considered to have established itself in the British market based on its outstanding product strength and rationality, with its selection of the best model in the pickup category for the second consecutive year by the auto magazine DieselCar & EcoCar Magazine in July last year.
Ssangyong Motor has been recognized for its competitiveness in overseas markets through a series of awards despite a significant contraction in the global auto market due to the COVID-19 Pandemics, and plans to expand the export market through active brand awareness and diversification of its lineup and prepare for the post-COVID era.
