Hyundai Steel's 2020 integrated report won the awards on international stage in recognition of the company's vision and future direction.
Hyundai Steel announced on March 3 that its integrated report "2020 Beyond Steel" was awarded at the LACP Vision Awards hosted by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) on Feb. 22.
LACP is a global public relations and marketing institution established by experts in the U.S. communication sector. Since 2001, it has reviewed and awarded annual reports and sustainable management reports to companies, government agencies, and organizations around the world.
More than 1,000 companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations from 20 countries participated in the competition. Hyundai Steel's "2020 Beyond Steel" earned 98 out of 100 points out of 6 out of 8 evaluation items (first impression, cover design, CEO message, content composition, financial reporting, creativity, clarity of content, and information delivery).
Hyundai Steel is publishing "Integrated Report" to respond to ESG information disclosure by combining "Sustainable Management Report" and "Annual Report", which have been published since 2016, respectively.
The award-winning integrated report systematically included Hyundai Steel's mid- to long-term strategy for sustainable management by optimizing ESG's major performance in response to stakeholder requests and disclosing social values as quantitative data.
An official of the company said, "I am glad that the integrated report containing Hyundai Steel's sustainable management message has achieved good results," and added, "We expect that this award will make communication between Hyundai Steel and stakeholders more active."
