S-Oil has started charging service for electric vehicles.
With the introduction of EV charging service, S-Oil introduced a complex energy station that can supply not only gasoline, diesel, LPG but also electricity at Unjeong Dream gas station in Paju.
Woonjung Dream gas station and charging station have installed one dual model (charging two vehicles at the same time) and one single model each that can be quickly charged.
The installed charger is a 100kw fast charger that can charge 64kwh electric vehicles up to 80% in 30 minutes, and can charge all Korean standard DC combo-style electric vehicles such as Niro EV, Kona EV and recently released Ioniq 5 and EV6.
It also provides a stand-by space in the stationary area and an automatic car wash discount service.
"S-Oil plans to prepare for the upcoming electric vehicle era by accumulating know-how on the electric vehicle infrastructure market starting with the introduction of the charging service," said an official from S-Oil. "Company will also expand charging services for electric vehicles nationwide, focusing on gas stations in major hubs."
Meanwhile, S-Oil added "electric vehicle charging-related projects" to prepare for sustainable growth and changes in the management environment at its 46th annual shareholders' meeting held last month.
