JB Financial Group established "ESG committee" under the board of directors and laid the groundwork for strengthening ESG management.
JB Financial Group's ESG Committee will establish ESG strategies and policies, receive reports on various progress and results, and serve as the top decision-making body for the group's ESG management.
With the establishment of the ESG Committee, JB Financial Group plans to expand its sustainable management activities from the perspective of ESG with its affiliates. It also plans to faithfully manage and supervise non-financial performance and lay the foundation for substantial sustainability internalization.
Yoo Gwan-woo, an outside director, and Kim & Chang, an advisor to the legal office of JB Financial Group's "ESG Committee," were appointed as chairman.
Meanwhile, JB Financial Group was recognized for its excellence in sustainable management by winning an integrated A+ in the "2020 ESG Evaluation" conducted by the Korea Corporate Governance Service last year.
