Korea IT Times interviewed company CEO JD Salbego to learn more about AnRKey X, NFTs and what the future holds for this tearaway business success story.
Q1: Thank you for taking time out to speak with Korea IT Times. Can you begin with some background info on yourself and AnRKey X?
Sure thing. AnRKey X is a hybrid concept in gaming, esports and DeFi. We’re innovating in the sector to inject some real fun into DeFi, and scalability into the NFTs marketplace with genuine supply and demand economics. The AnRKey X ecosystem supports contests, tournaments, achievements to unlock, and, if you play your cards right, rewards to be won in the form of NFTs and $ANRX arcade coins.
There are also serious bragging rights to be fought for within the first competitive game in the AnRKey X stable, Battle Wave 2323. We’re the first company to merge all of these sectors together to offer up the best combined gaming, esports, and DeFi experience available anywhere in the galaxy - that we know of at least.
As for myself, I’m the leader of a team of crypto and DeFi leaders, entrepreneurs, influencers, artists, gaming design veterans, proven financial technologists, and music and entertainment industry experts.
Before DeFi and crypto I was in the music and entertainment business working with global A-list celebrities like Snoop Dog, Usher, Jason Derulo, Backstreet Boys and too many more to mention. Q2: AnRKey X has started the year strongly, grabbing the top spot on NFT marketplace Rarible and selling over $750,000 of NFTs in a few weeks. Some of your NFTs are reselling at around $47,000 - a 3,602% increase on their initial $343 price tag. Where do you go from here?
That’s a great question. While our success to date has been absolutely fantastic we don’t have the time to relax or congratulate ourselves. We’ve got a lot of exciting events coming up for our users. Looking to the future, which is something we do a lot at AnRKey X, you can expect to see a new set of NFTs dropping every two weeks. Over time, these NFTs will help to grow and build Battle Wave 2323 into something that we believe is truly special and completely unparalleled in the DeFi sector.
Q3: Regarding the NFT sector, do you think the current levels of interest are sustainable in the longer term?
The interest levels I think we can sustain, even if the growth rates level out. The market cap of all NFT projects rose by 1,785% in the first three months of 2021. That’s absolutely insane growth, and I don’t think that can carry on to infinity. What I’d say in terms of the NFT market is that not all NFTs are created equal. Some are awesome pieces of art, some have real applications and use cases, others don’t seem to make much sense. Some, like our Battle Wave 2323 NFTs are awesome pieces of artwork, that are tied into compelling game narratives, and also have powerful incentivization schemes, supported by a loyal community of intelligent, dedicated, awesome gamers. So cutting to the chase, I’d suggest that some NFT models are more sustainable than others.
Q4: Okay, so how can an ordinary person who is new to this space tell the difference between a really desirable NFT and a not so desirable one?
That’s easy. The price.
Q5: Can you let us know a bit more about your $ANRX token?
Our $ANRX utility token has 12 medium of exchange functions and works a lot like an arcade coin which you might use at a physical video arcade - if you can remember those from before lockdown. The more you utilize its multiple functions to purchase, play, stake, sell, and compete, the more $ANRX you can earn within the gaming system. So while AnRKey X may be making a name for itself in the NFT marketplace, we believe our fungible token is pretty damned cool as well. There are lots of ways to earn $ANRX and once you’ve got your bags nice and full you can use $ANRX to purchase upgrades and boosts within the game.
