Hyosung T&C announced on June 7 that it won the "2021 Seoul Metropolitan Environment Award," the highest authority award in the Seoul Metropolitan environmental field.
Marking its 25th anniversary this year, Hyosung T&C received the highest grand prize among a total of 21 organizations and individuals.
Since January this year, Hyosung T&C has been carrying out a resource virtuous cycle project to separate and discharge transparent PET bottles in Geumcheon, Yeongdeungpo, and Gangnam districts and produce them with recycled fiber "Regen Seoul."
The company participated in the "Regen Seoul" project, creating eco-friendly clothing, which contributed greatly to reducing carbon emissions.
In March, it launched the "Love Seoul" edition, a clothing applied with "Regen Seoul" in collaboration with South Korea's eco-friendly fashion brand "Pleats Mama".
In the second half of this year, it is planning to launch clothes and bags made of "Regen Seoul" in collaboration with famous outdoor brands in Korea. More than 300 vests with "Regen Seoul" will also be produced and distributed to resource management helpers in six districts, including Yeongdeungpo.
In the future, Hyosung T&C plans to expand its project to other regions. The company plans to continue eco-friendly business with eco-friendly fashion brands and local governments nationwide.
