The target vehicles are 350 frozen trucks and 217 business vehicles. Trucks will be replaced by all electric vehicles by 2025, and business vehicles will be replaced by 2022.

By 2025, the total cost of converting electric vehicles will be about KRW 30 billion won. Lotte Confectionery plans to invest about KRW 6.4 billion won this year to bring in 20 frozen trucks and 114 business vehicles.

The company predicts that if eco-friendly electric vehicle conversion is carried out, it will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about 1,000 tons per year. It is also expected to help salespeople improve their working environment, with vehicles changing from small vehicles to small SUVs.

Meanwhile, Lotte Confectionery decided to replace all plastic buffers with paper materials. Based on the continuous practice of eco-friendly management and social contribution activities, it received an A grade for the second consecutive year in the ESG evaluation in 2020.
