Coupang Founder Kim Bom decided to focus on global management by entering foreign markets with Coupang's listing on the New York stock market. Founder Kim resigned as chairman of the board of directors of Coupang.
Coupang held a shareholders' meeting on June 11 and appointed Jeon Joon-hee as a vice president of development, and Yoo In-jong as a vice president of safety management.
Kang Han-seung, chairman of the board, will continue his efforts to expand regional investment and employment as well as the service sector.
The newly appointed former vice president will accelerate the development of Coupang's core technologies, and Yoo will further strengthen the worker safety policy represented by Coupang Care.
Kim Bom, who recently led Japan's expansion, will devote himself to the CEO and chairman of the board of directors of Coupang Inc., a New York-listed corporation, and will focus on global expansion.
"Coupang has created innovative services such as rocket delivery and dawn delivery over the past decade," said Kang Han-seung, the board of directors of Coupang. "We will continue to provide more services to our customers through more aggressive investment, more employment and service innovation."
