Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) was selected as the final supplier of the "Krško Nuclear Power Plant's secondary cooling water exchanger supply" project ordered by the Slovenian Nuklearna Elektrarna Krško (NEK) on July 6.
The project is worth about 1.2 million euros and is to install major facilities that remove heat from the nuclear power plant's secondary device cooler.
KHNP is in charge of business management and quality control, and Mytech, a small and medium-sized South Korean company, is responsible for designing and manufacturing equipment.
"This achievement is an example of expanding the export market of nuclear power plant technology in Korea through co-prosperity between KHNP and small and medium-sized companies," said Chung Jae-hoon, president of KHNP. "We will continue to do our best to enter the overseas nuclear power plant market with many Korean small and medium-sized companies."
