DL E&C said on July 20 that it has successfully completed construction of South Korea's largest railway arch bridge.
The bridge is built in Anseong stream, which crosses Hyundeok-myeon in Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do and Yeongin-myeon in Asan-si, South Chungcheon province.
The arch bridge consists of a total of five arch structures. It is similar in size to the arch bridge of Seogang Bridge built on the Han River.
The company used Korea's first construction method to construct the bridge. The method is to assemble a bridge structure on land in advance, move it to a construction location, and install it on a bridge. Uniform quality can be achieved because structures are assembled on land.
DL E&C adopted an arch design to help the bridge become a landmark in the area.
Meanwhile, DL E&C has been working on the national railroad project for 10 years without any major accidents.
