The number of views passed 100 million in just a week after its release, which means that an average of 570,000 netizens around the world watched the video per hour. It is the fastest number of unpacked trailer video views ever.
The 45-second official trailer video shows the evolution of mobile technology over the past few decades.
"Why change a good thing? Good question. This was once a good thing. This was also once a good thing but at some point they've all changed for the better," a man says in a voice-over narration. "And once we experience better, we never go back."
Following the narration, he asks, "So here's a better question, is 'good' good enough?"
Subsequently, smartphones are opened with magnificent music while a huge city is built inside the smartphones.
The video ends with a message, "Get ready to unfold."
"The official trailer video expresses the present, which has become more similar in design and function as smartphones develop more and more," an official Samsung Electronics said. "The video is designed to convey a message that Samsung will provide fundamentally changed mobile devices through new Galaxy devices, and these will be unveiled at Unpack 2021 event."
Samsung Galaxy Unpack 2021 will be held online at 11 p.m. on August 11, Korean time. Galaxy Z Fold3, Z Flip3 and Galaxy Watch4 will be unveiled at the event.
