“A bridge connecting makers with various ‘tastes’ and consumers with various ‘tastes’, Planet Jeju will take that role.”

Planet Jeju is an online and offline platform that displays and sells the artworks of talented local creators in Jeju and other regions.

“Planet Jeju, an online and offline platform, is currently showcasing and selling unique artworks of local creators offline,” said Yoon Kyung-bo, CEO of Planet Jeju. "We are preparing online delivery service and parcel service in the second half of the year."

Along with this, to deal with environmental problems, they are taking a lead on not only creating profit but also public awareness by selling zero waste products made with natural material, and upcycled products that use thrown away material to bring environmental awareness to the customers visiting Planet Jeju.

“I wanted to introduce the true local products of Jeju Island to many tourists visiting Jeju island,” said CEO Yoon. “I have created Planet Jeju, a complex space of art and culture in the center of Jeju, near the airport and hotel.”

“Unlike the existing method of displaying and selling products by various companies and local creators, tourists can conveniently experience Jeju and purchase products online or offline,” added CEO Yoon.

“We think that tourists can have a much more convenient trip if they can travel through beautiful Jeju and focus on leisure and vacation activities, while being able to use an online platform to purchase gifts for their family and friends.”

"As the world is changing so rapidly, Jeju also needs to quickly change to keep up with the consumer’s standards and trends," continued CEO Yoon. "I have a strong relationship with tourism related companies within the island, and one of their strengths is that there is an ecosystem where they can collaborate and grow together."

Meanwhile, Planet Jeju is planning to introduce "Packed with Jeju!", a curated product that curates Jeju's high-quality agricultural products and local creator products so that you can feel the taste, beauty and color of Jeju at once.

Planet Jeju was recognized and selected last June for the ‘2021 Y&Navigator 2nd Batch’ accelerator program hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, and operated by Y&Archer. Through this program, it received support such as customized mentorship, startup education and networking, investment referrals, and market validation test (Y&LAB).
