Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) will introduce a new business product line centered on the 4th industrial revolution technology at Seoul ADEX 2021, which will be held at Seoul Airport until October 23.
All models developed and produced by KAI will be exhibited, and a virtual demonstration flight of the KF-21 scheduled to fly for the first time next year and UAM, will be shown in video.
The KF-21 Boramae, which was released in April this year, and the FA-50 light attack aircraft, which is undergoing performance improvement, and the model of the next basic trainer (Black Kite) will also be on display.
In the Future Business Zone, various satellites such as next-generation medium-sized satellites and micro-satellites, VTOL vertical take-off and landing unmanned aerial vehicles, and future-oriented training systems based on virtual reality (VR) concepts will be exhibited.
In particular, the future mobile body, UAM, will be unveiled for the first time. UAM is a two-platform for manned transport and unmanned cargo. The UAM for manned transport is a 5-seater electric powered vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft with a maximum speed of 250 km and a cruising distance of 100 km.
KAI plans to develop its own model UAM by the late 2020s by securing UAM element technology in the future.
Helicopters, which are being developed in South Korea, will also be displayed on the scale of a real aircraft. A space where you can directly experience the future-oriented training system to which the advanced 4th industrial revolution technology is applied will also be introduced.
