CEO Bae Young-hoon of IVS, an AI-based intelligent video and sound source analysis-specialized company, won the Korean Prime Minister's commendation for the "Big and Small Business Win-Win Cooperation Division (Individual)" at the “2021 Corporate Partnership Week Event” held at the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Businesses building in Yeouido, Seoul on Nov. 3.
In order to promote shared growth between large companies and SMEs, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership, the Agricultural and Fishery Cooperation Foundation have designated the first week of November as a shared growth week every year, and held a ceremony to select and reward companies, institutions, and men of merit.
CEO Bae received the Prime Minister's commendation in recognition of his contribution to win-win cooperation with business partners, including small and medium-sized enterprises.
IVS has independently developed AI-related products (intelligent video analysis and sound source analysis) for the first time in the world since its foundation in 2010, signed contracts with a total of 155 partner companies, and achieved about 26.8 billion won in sales so far in 2018.
In addition, as of 2021, it has carried out 10 national R&D projects with a total of 25 companies to achieve results.
It signed a win-win cooperation contract with Hanwha Techwin in 2020 and registered with the Public Procurement Service for joint development products, and created an intelligent CCTV control market through joint development of intelligent NVR with ADT CAPS.
It contributed to social safety by jointly developing a crime prevention system through abnormal sound source detection with KT, and supported the technological competitiveness of two partner companies, including Pacific Solution, by paying subsidies.
It jointly developed AI technology products through industry-academic cooperation with Sogang University, and created jobs for 50 young people to carry out a DATA BASE construction project for artificial intelligence.
Minister of SMEs and Startups Kwon Chil-seung said, "We thank small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners on behalf of small and medium-sized enterprises for their shared growth," adding, "We will try to spread the target of win-win cooperation to more SMEs, startups, and small business owners."
Meanwhile, CEO Bae said, "I think it is very difficult for Korean conglomerates and SMEs to survive independently without a win-win strategy. If we take advantage of each other's strengths and map out a strategy, Korea will be able to build a strong economic infrastructure."
