Many manufacturers want to apply AI based solutions and set up a smart factory but are having trouble finding a solution because they don’t have a clear understanding of the current status and problems of the data they use in their manufacturing process.

Altiem announced on the 16 that it has launched 'AI Troubleshooter', which provides AI-based process diagnosis solutions.

“AI based time series data analysis technology is used to provide service for all processes starting from defining the problem to applying it to production,” said CEO Sung Ki-seok.

Altiem is a company that develops an AI based process diagnosis solution for semiconductors and batteries and helps manufacturers achieve technical advancement.

Altiem uses a 3 step process of “quality evaluation and defect detection → cause of defect analysis → process improvement and control” and so that an industrial-fit AI solution for the manufacturing environment, goal, and current status can be operated.

“We not only provide a solution for the manufacturing process, but also help development when more advanced equipment is needed, such as the data needed in the design stage, and technology development needed for the sensor design and process diagnosis,” explained CEO Sung.

The company jointly developed and applied a wafer warpage, gas leakage, plasma source detection model for company X, a semiconductor equipment manufacturer with the #1 global market share for ashing, a pre-step for semiconductors.

This technology was recognized in July of last year and the company was selected as one of the participating companies for the “Development of an atomic layer etching equipment that can be controlled in real-time” project operated by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

It is developing the real time process diagnosis and process controlling technology needed for the etching equipment by 2023.

Also, it won the AI championship LG Science Park project hosted by the Ministry of SME, also last year in November.

Altiem participated in the ‘A-STREAM’ event on November 8, hosted by the global accelerator company Y&Archer to receive investment feedback from foreign investors and network with global and Korean VCs and institutions to get their support for a successful global market entry.

“We will expand our business model by branding the company as a solution provider for AI based process diagnosis design for new manufacturing equipment but participating in the design and development projects for new equipment,” said CEO Sung.
