Becks Perfect of NiFTy World discusses NFTs with Layne Hartsell

This past spring, the relatively unknown artist and graphics designer Beeples sold a digital art piece for $79 million, while others such as CryptoPunks from 2017 sold for millions, sparking enormous energy, particularly by young people for innovation in culture.

In this video, I talk with Becks Perfect the founder of NiFTy World and a member of the Fame Ladies Squad as the metaverse emerges with NFTs at the center of art, culture, and play-to-earn games as new worlds with the world in digital space. The huge popularity over the past year has seen new projects, just months or even weeks old, lead the way such as CyberKongz and Bored Apes Yacht Club. The Bored Apes Yacht Club has now become a physical club with meetings and art shows. Sotheby’s Ape In! sale went beyond its previous Natively Digital sale in June. ArtNews reported “Sotheby’s “Ape In!” sale achieved $26.2 million, setting a record for an NFT auction at the house...had been initially estimated to bring in between $12 million and $19 million. It surpassed the result from Sotheby’s “Natively Digital” sale in June, which realized $17 million”. Recently, the billboards in Times Square displayed metaverse images during the largest NFT conference to date. Digital Journal reported, “Times Square billboards were taken over by NFT companies, artists and projects. Among these advertisements were Ragdollz, Snoop Dogg’s NFT alias Cozomo de’ Medici, Cool Cats, RTFKT Studios, Virtueclan...”

An up-and-coming project is Fame Ladies, which has an interesting history in the digital world as women assert their participation and innovation. Beck’s Perfect tells the story of Fame Ladies, NFTs, and gaming that are bringing an entire “universe” mainstream. Generally known as Web 3.0 and metaverse and with the verification systems such as blockchain, we can expect a transformation of how we participate online, use money, and do certification and verification on the Internet.

Becks Perfect (UK) is a film critic and art enthusiast who founded NiFTy World and is currently devoting her time to building NFT communities.
