Taiyo Yuden, a global electronic parts and module manufacturing firm introduced electronic devices they have developed under the slogan 'Contributing to ECO through electronic parts' with the goal of miniaturization and high capacity.
The devices introduced are; PAS & Lithium-ion capacitors for main power and backup, LED driver module for 46-inch panel with active control in 144 areas, lager current, downsized and lower-profile power inductor, low profile AC line filters for LED lights, small and multifunctional wireless modules, development road map for SAW filter/duplexer/RF module, advanced technologies in products for high-frequency, Taiyo Yuden multilayer filter and antenna solution for cellular phones, multilayer ceramic capacitor: MLCC. The devices that grabbed attention today were PAS capacitors, MLCC and small and multifunctional wireless modules.
Taiyo Yuden's PAS capacitor could recharge on less current than capacitors of other companies, exhibiting optimal performance for energy storage devices, such as solar energy as well as having rapid recharge and release time for batteries which are suited for toys and one-use devices. Also, they are maintenance free thanks to a high cycle property, contributing to longevity and cost reduction of the device. Taiyo Yuden showcased a solar battery remote control, which uses the square type capacitor from the Taiyo Yuden PAS capacitors line, and while a 30mA solar battery could not operate a 600mA remote control, Taiyo Yuden's square type PAS remotes could be operated by a single solar battery remote control.
MLCCs are being used as a compulsory component in small digital devices such as mobile phones and digital cameras. Miniaturization of parts is inevitable in creating smaller devices the consumers of such digital devices are demanding. Thus, Taiyo Yuden released the 0.4mm*0.2mm 0402 MLCC, which is smaller than the current 0.6mm*0.3mm 0603 MLCC to meet demands. Taiyo Yuden was confident that their 0402 MLCC were the smallest MLCC in existence.
Miniature multifunction wireless modules, such as Bluetooth, wireless LAN, combo LAN modules which combines Bluetooth and wireless LAN and GPS modules were introduced.
Today, the Taiyo Yuden booth attracted users not only displaying developed electronic parts but also through talks and quiz tests on how specific devices affect our everyday life.
