Shinhan Bank Vietnam, a local subsidiary of Shinhan Bank, announced on December 31 that it opened a Que Vo branch in Bac Ninh Province and a Thong Nhat branch in Thành phố Biên Hòa in Vietnam.
Bac Ninh Province Que Vo is located at the crossroads of important economic centers in Vietnam such as Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh, attracting a lot of foreign investment. The Que Vo branch is expected to increase customer convenience at the entrance to the Que Vo industrial complex.
Biên Hòa, located in the south, is a city with a population of over 1 million and is a representative city adjacent to Ho Chi Minh, the economic center of Vietnam. Major infrastructure construction projects such as highway and new airport construction are in progress here.
Shinhan Vietnam Bank opened a branch in Can Tho in October last year and opened branches in Vietnam's five major cities (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Can Tho) for the first time as a Korean bank, thereby establishing a nationwide sales network covering the whole of Vietnam. In addition, the bank has solidified its position as the bank with the most branches among foreign banks in Vietnam through this opening.
Meanwhile, from the end of 2020 to the third quarter of 2021, Shinhan Vietnam Bank achieved the first place among foreign banks in Vietnam in terms of financial performance such as total assets and profit and loss. This year, we are actively pursuing digital transformation, including the release of Mobile Banking SOL 2.0.
