Woori Financial Group announced that it has won Industry Mover ratings at the 2022 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) announced by S&P Global, one of the world's three largest credit rating agencies.
The 2022 Corporate Sustainability Assessment was conducted on more than 7,000 companies in 61 industries around the world, and only 53 companies were awarded Industry Mover ratings.
This grade is awarded to companies with the greatest improvement in ESG performance compared to the previous year among companies within the top 15% of the ESG evaluation conducted by S&P Global.
Woori Financial Group declared 2021 as the first year of ESG management and promised to take the lead in ESG management practice and financial social responsibility by enacting ESG management principles.
The company established an ESG management committee within the board of directors in March last year, and all directors, including Chairman Son Tae-seung, participated to reinforce ESG management execution.
