LG Uplus announced today that it will unveil Episode 3 of "Space Explorers: The ISS Experience", a new VR content of "Global XR Content Telco Alliance (XR Alliance)", a global 5G content alliance serving as a facilitator.
This is the third episode "UNITE" following Episode 1 "ADAPT" in October 2020 and Episode 2 "ADVANCE" in May 2021.
"The ISS Experience" is the first project of the XR Alliance, and is the first 3D 360-degree VR VR content series in a total of four parts filmed in real space.
The new content released this time realistically shows the real outer space of the International Space Station. It is the reunion of astronauts trained together on Earth at the International Space Station.
In the cycle of continuously completing missions, astronauts are realizing mankind's dream of conquering space, and at the same time developing space culture on the International Space Station.
LG Uplus is the world's first 3D 360-degree VR camera to film the outside of the International Space Station, raising expectations.
XR Alliance participating company Felix & Paul Studios produced a camera equipped with a specially made lens that withstands extremely low and high temperatures from minus 156 degrees to 121 degrees and minimizes flare effects.
The Spacewalk scene was produced in cooperation with Time Studios, ISS U.S. in cooperation with National Laboratory, NASA, and the Canadian Space Agency.
You can watch this episode for free regardless of the carrier you use through the LG Uplus VR/AR integrated XR platform "U+DIVE" app. If you don't have a VR headset, you can watch it on your mobile screen alone.
