Samsung SDS CEO Hwang Seong-woo said today at the Jamsil campus that Samsung SDS is transforming into a “cloud specialized company”.
"This year, the company will strengthen its competitiveness in the 'Managed Service Provider' (MSP) business that runs end-to-end IT services of consulting, construction, and operation based on industry expertise in the cloud," said CEO Hwang. "Samsung SDS is preparing for the future cloud business by making efforts to secure thousands of cloud experts at home and abroad."
Samsung SDS also said that it would expand its logistics business centering on Cello Square, a logistics platform based on new IT technologies. In addition, the company plans to launch its global business in earnest this year, starting with China and Southeast Asia.
Samsung SDS plans to continuously promote ESG activities, such as establishing a roadmap to reduce carbon emissions for corporate social responsibility and sustainable management, strengthening the safety environment monitoring system, and contributing to IT society.
Meanwhile, Samsung SDS recorded sales of KRW 13.63 trillion and operating profit of KRW 808.1 billion last year, a 24% increase compared to the previous year, achieving the highest performance ever.
