Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-yeon had a luncheon with former US Vice President Michael Richard Pence at the Chosun Hotel in Sogong-ro, Seoul on March 24 and exchanged conversations about Korea-US relations.
According to Hanwha, the meeting took place while former Vice-President Michael Richard Pence visited Korea for a lecture at the invitation of Far East Broadcasting.
Former Vice President Pence gave a lecture on the morning of March 25 at the Chosun Hotel in Sogong-ro, with the title of "Strong Korea-US alliance in the international situation" in the presence of 300 people from various fields, including politics, economy, and education.
At the luncheon that lasted about two hours, Chairman Kim and former Vice President Pence shared their views on the latest international situation and shared the view that cooperation between countries is more important than ever.
“Companies are also having a difficult time due to international disputes and the resulting economic crisis,” said Chairman Kim. “I hope that global leaders will think together about ways to solve the problems we are facing."
