Coupang's legal team was awarded the highest honor given to the corporate legal team that leads the way in compliance management in the Asia-Pacific region.
Coupang announced today that it has recently won the 'In-house Corporate Team of the Year' award at the "IFLR Asia-pacific Awards 2022" hosted by International Financial Law Review (IFLR), a global authority in the field of financial law.
Coupang is the first Korean company to win an award in this category. It is evaluated that Coupang has been recognized as a company with the world's highest level of compliance management.
Every year, IFLR selects and awards a creative and enterprising in-house legal team that effectively responds to various legal issues among all companies in the Asia-Pacific region.
Global investment finance companies such as Goldman Sachs and HSBC were named on the list of previous corporate legal team awards of the year.
"Coupang has taken into consideration the ability to manage various legal issues that occurred last year and the swift resolution of complex legal issues involving various stakeholders," said IFLR.
"We will continue to take the lead in compliance management to provide better service to our customers," said Coupang.
