CJ Feed&Care announced today that the completion ceremony of the CJ Củ Chi Cool Meat Complex was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
With the completion of this plant, CJ Feed&Care will be equipped with business competitiveness that encompasses the entire value chain, from pig feed to livestock to meat processing.
The factory is about 1,300㎡ in size and is equipped with all facilities based on Cold Chain, including cutting-edge meat processing facilities and refrigeration and freezing warehouses.
CJ Feed&Care will produce refrigerated and fresh meat products of “Meat Master,” a Vietnamese meat processing specialty brand introduced in 2020.
The production scale is about 8,200 tons per year, which has been greatly increased by 10 times compared to before the operation of the plant.
CJ Củ Chi Cool Meat Complex has also obtained global certification Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS) and Vietnam HACCP certification to give local consumers the perception that it is a product they can trust and eat.
Vietnam has the third highest per capita pork consumption in the world after China and Europe. Vietnam's overall meat market is estimated to be worth more than 20 trillion won.
CJ Feed&Care plans to enter 1,000 retail stores across Vietnam by the end of this year, mainly at major hypermarkets such as Coop Mart and BigC, based on the stable quantity produced at the new plant.
