LG Household & Health Care announced today that it has signed a contract to acquire a 65% stake in The Crème Shop in the United States for $120 million (about 148.5 billion won).

Founded in 2012, The Crème Shop is a brand that effectively reflects the interest of young Americans in K-beauty and appropriately blends local sensibility.

The brand is continuing its high sales growth by selling various products such as basic and color cosmetics and beauty accessories.

Marie Claire, a global fashion and beauty magazine published in the United States at the end of 2021, selected The Crème Shop as one of the best K-Beauty representative brands loved in the United States.

The Crème Shop is also featured in famous magazines such as allure, BuzzFeed, and Vogue.

The Crème Shop has secured a differentiated product portfolio based on a high understanding of local customers and is introducing trendy products through collaborations with various characters such as Hello Kitty, Disney, and BT21.

In addition, it is continuously increasing interest in the brand in the online market by directly communicating with younger generation customers through SNS such as Instagram.

At a time when interest in K-beauty is increasing day by day due to the strength of K-pop and K-content, LG H&H plans to nurture its business in the Americas by utilizing The Crème Shop's K-beauty heritage and local marketing capabilities.
