LG Electronics announced today that it will participate in the Freeze Art Fair, one of the world's three major art fairs, and exhibit Non-Fungible Token (NFT) works on the LG OLED evo screen.
LG Electronics participated in Frieze New York held at The Shed, a cultural arts center located in Manhattan, New York, for five days from the 18th local time.
In the VIP lounge on the 8th floor of the exhibition hall, a gallery was created using a total of 18 innovative displays, including LG OLED evo Gallery Edition, LG OLED evo Object Collection, and transparent OLED signage.
In this exhibition, LG Electronics collaborated with digital artist Kevin McCoy, who is famous as the creator of NFT art.
He will show the world's first NFT work, Quantum, which was introduced in 2014, and the new NFT series, Quantum Leap, which will be released for the first time this year, through OLED displays.
The delicate image quality expression of LG OLED evo, the overwhelming contrast ratio, and the immersive feeling of black properly express the artist's work with colorful colors and various graphic effects on a black background.
In particular, the extra-large screen made by arranging two 77-inch (about 195 cm diagonal) OLED evo Gallery Edition (77G2) side by side provides a viewing experience that cannot be felt in other TVs.
LG Electronics is actively expanding the OLED Art Project, which expands collaboration with the art field by putting the strengths of Self-Lit OLED at the forefront.
Including New York, the company plans to collaborate with OLED TV in the art field at the Freeze Art Fair to be held in Seoul in September, London in October, and Los Angeles in February next year.
