The founders of the non-profit 4BYSIX C.I.C, Alex Dawber and Milo Phillips have opened their US debut pop-up exhibition in NYC’s 80 W Broadway “BREAK IN EMERGENCY 4”, to showcase the best international street artists, both established and emerging including Jahan Loh, Jan Kaláb, LILKOOL and Jun Oson.
Sourcing decommissioned London bus panels from the UK to be used as canvases, the duo send the panels to artists all over the world to take part in their ongoing charitable project. Sales take place through their online auctions, and the profits fund their ongoing outreach projects to help homeless and underprivileged people, such as food and clothing, sleeping bag donations, care packages and more. Exhibiting artists have included Peter Tunney, Jon Burgerman, The Connor Brothers, DotPigeon and Shepard Fairey.
The full list of artists in this exhibition are: Jan Kaláb, Jahan Loh, LILKOOL, Jun Oson, Maxwell McMaster, Ant Hamlyn, Carlos Rodríguez, Duncan Jago, Fanny Brodar, Kristen Sanders, Léo Yamada, Mogu Takahashi, Shinhong Gwon, Silvio Mildo and Slawn. Their works can be purchased online via 4bysix.com.
The online auction and pop-up end tomorrow, so it’s the last chance to see or bid on a unique piece of street art history.
