The average export price per unit of eco-friendly vehicles is also rising. According to data from the Korea International Trade Association and the Automobile Industry Association, the average export unit price from January to May this year was $28,865, up 4% from $27,762 recorded during the same period last year.

In particular, the export unit price of eco-friendly vehicles is 39% higher than the average export unit price of internal combustion engine vehicles of 27,763 dollars.

The average export unit price per eco-friendly car rose by $2,500 to $3,000 annually, from $23,100 in 2019, $26,309 in 2020, and $28,810 last year.

Considering this trend, the export unit price of eco-friendly vehicles is expected to exceed $30,000 by the end of this year.

Meanwhile, domestic sales of eco-friendly cars exceeded 200,000 units in the first half of this year. This is an increase of more than 40% compared to the same period last year.
