Pyeongtaek Bio Plant, Hanmi Pharm's state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical production base, was evaluated by the government as the nation's best safety workplace.
Hanmi Pharm announced on July 11 that its Bio Plant in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, which was recently reviewed for Process Safety Management (PSM) conducted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, has obtained the best grade, "P (Progressive)."
PSM is a system in which the government comprehensively evaluates and manages the safety of workplaces handling dangerous facilities and substances to prevent serious industrial accidents.
The evaluation consists of a total of four stages. P, the highest grade obtained by Hanmi Pharm’s Pyeongtaek Bio Plant, is not easy to obtain, as only 10 (1.6%) out of 620 workplaces in the Seoul metropolitan area received the grade as of last year.
An official from Hanmi Pharm said, "Pyeongtaek Bio Plant is a state-of-the-art factory that produces 'Rollontis', which is expected to be the first global new drug of the company, and we are doing our best to produce high-quality medicines through the disaster-free process."
