SPC Group announced today that its bakery brand Paris Baguette has opened its third store in Paris, France.
Paris Baguette opened the "Montparnasse Store" in the Montparnasse area, one of the key commercial districts in Paris, France on October 4th.
This is the 5th store following the 3rd store Boel Dieu and the 4th corolle store, which opened in La Defense, a modern commercial district outside Paris in the first half of this year.
The La Défense and Montparnasse areas, where Paris Baguette entered this time, are office commercial districts and core commercial districts where major global companies have moved in.
Montparnasse has attractions such as "Montparnasse Tower", the second highest landmark in Paris city after the Eiffel Tower, and the historic movie theater "Gaumont". Also, there is "Montparnasse Station", the center of transportation, so it is considered a place with a lot of floating population in Paris city.
The Montparnasse branch is a cafe-type store with a terrace of 149m2 and 67 seats, and has strengthened the "Grab & Go" corner, such as sandwiches and snacking menus, by taking advantage of the characteristics of the commercial district in front of the office and train station.
At the entrance of the store, a wooden canopy that blends well with the old-fashioned building was installed, and menu items such as waffles, sandwiches and coffee can be ordered directly without entering the store.
"Paris Baguette is growing steadily, receiving favorable reviews from locals based on SPC Group's quality and brand competitiveness," said Christophe Laroze, head of Paris Baguette's French division. "We will continue to expand our business centering on key commercial areas in France.”
Meanwhile, SPC Group opened its first Paris Baguette store in France in 2014 and introduced educational courses such as Institut National de la Boulangerie Pâtisserie à Rouen (INBP) and École Lenotre (a famous French confectionery and culinary school) in Korea. It has contributed to economic and cultural cooperation between Korea and France.
