LG Display announced today that it has acquired ISO 37301 certification, an international standard for compliance management systems.
LG Display is the first to obtain this certification in the global display industry.
ISO 37301, established in April of last year by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), is an international certification awarded by evaluating whether a company's compliance policies, risk management, and operation meet global standards and operate effectively.
LG Display received high praise for its continued strengthening of its compliance management system and the will of its management and employees to comply.
To preemptively manage compliance risks, LG Display intensively inspected major areas such as fair trade and anti-corruption and strengthened the management system. In addition, the company carried out activities such as informing employees of the revised relevant regulations in detail.
The company advanced the compliance operation system by building a "Compliance portal" on its intranet. Employees use the portal's standardized process to self-check compliance risks and actively utilize them in their work.
“We plan to further strengthen our compliance management by establishing an integrated compliance management system that encompasses overseas business sites in order to enhance the transparency and reliability of our business activities for various stakeholders.” said Kim Seong-hyeon, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of LG Display.
