The Genesis BBQ Group announced today that BBQ Chicken was recently introduced as a "K-chicken brand" in "Restaurant Business", an American food service magazine.
About BBQ, the restaurant business said that Korean chicken brand BBQ is promoting a new business where customers can order chicken online or through a kiosk with a new type of store called BSK.
BBQ is about to launch the first BBQ Smart Kitchen (BSK), a delivery and takeout specialty store, in Inglewood, New Jersey, USA in the second half of this year.
New Jersey is the region where the global headquarters is located, and the branch will be operated as a test store to decide whether to expand the BSK format in the US depending on the performance.
Currently, BBQ operates three types of stores in the United States: Express, Cafe, and Chicken and Beer.
Express is a delivery-oriented store, and the cafe is a casual dining restaurant. Chicken and Beer consists of PUB that enjoys chicken and beer.
Since its official launch in Korea in June 2020, BSK has received a warm response from prospective young entrepreneurs as a small-cap startup model.
It has established itself as a delivery specialty store by breaking through the 100th store within six months of launch and the 300th store within a year.
Meanwhile, BBQ is currently operating 150 stores in 20 states, including major regions in the United States such as New York, New Jersey, California, Texas, Colorado, Massachusetts, and Hawaii. plan to expand.
