JW Pharmaceutical announced today that it will present the preclinical results of the Wnt hair loss treatment "JW0061" at the "Wnt 2022" conference to be held in Japan from November 15th.
The Wnt Conference is a forum for world-renowned scholars and researchers in the field of "Wnt signaling" to exchange the latest research results.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the discovery of the Wnt protein, and researchers from the United States, Europe, Asia, and Oceania and officials from pharmaceutical and bio companies are expected to gather.
At this conference, JW Pharmaceutical will unveil the newly identified Mode of Action (MoA) of JW0061 and the efficacy evaluation results of animal models tested with clinical preparations for the first time.
This is the first time for a South Korean pharmaceutical/bio company to present the research results of a new drug candidate at an international Wnt conference.
JW0061 is a First-in-Class candidate substance that promotes the differentiation and proliferation of hair follicle stem cells and cells involved in hair growth by activating the Wnt signaling pathway, which is reduced in the process of hair loss.
