- ‘Woori meta branch’ reborn from 2D to 3D
Woori Bank in South Korea announced on the 13th that it will implement a 3D-based metaverse pilot service with Grid, a startup company specializing in the metaverse.
Woori Bank will proactively respond to the standardization of metaverse technology and the maintenance of related laws and regulations in cooperation with metaverse specialized technology companies. This is the background of Woori Financial Group's digital hyper-innovation strategy by discovering useful metaverse services for customers and employees and providing new experiences.
For this pilot service, you can experience the 'Comprehensive Small Business Support Center' for small business customers and the 'Digital Training Center' for Woori Bank employees on 'moim', a metaverse platform of Grid.
The 'Comprehensive Small Business Support Center' provides 1:1 customized consulting for small businesses, such as ▲ policy finance loans ▲ commercial district and location analysis ▲ support for establishing various business plans, and is available not only on PCs but also on mobile devices.
In particular, the "Small Business Comprehensive Support Center" has changed its 2D-based "Woori Meta-branch," which has been in operation since December 2021, to a 3D-based platform to enhance users' immersion and usability.
In line with the digital trend change, the 'Digital Training Center' is a digital training space for Woori Bank employees, and the disadvantages of face-to-face and non-face-to-face education were supplemented by using the metaverse platform. First of all, to strengthen employees' digital capabilities, digital experts are invited to give special lectures on digital, and training programs will be expanded in the future.
"Through this pilot service, we will experience the metaverse service first and officially open it in the first half of this year by reflecting user feedback," a Woori Bank official said. "This service will be available not only on PCs and mobile but also on XR devices (extended reality devices) in the future."
