SPC bakery brand Paris Baguette announced today that it has surpassed the 100th franchise in the United States.
Paris Baguette opened its 100th affiliated store, the Red Bank store, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, in the eastern part of the United States. The Red Bank branch is a local liquor commercial district where 95 percent of the population in the vicinity is local.
Paris Baguette aims to open 1,000 stores across the U.S. by 2030, with 160 additional franchises to be signed this year.
Paris Baguette operates about 85 percent of its stores in the United States. It has established itself as a brand loved by locals, successfully settling in local mainstream commercial districts such as Manhattan Times Square, Midtown, Upper West Side in New York, and Downtown LA.
Since Paris Baguette first entered the US in 2005, it has stood out in the US bakery industry by opening 120 stores across the East and West.
Currently, SPC is introducing stores in major areas near Silicon Valley, in the western hub, which includes Los Angeles and San Diego, and in the eastern hub, which connects New York, New Jersey and Boston.
It plans to steadily open stores in new territories, including North Carolina, Colorado, Maryland, Washington, Minnesota, Tennessee and Hawaii.
Last year, it ranked 25th in the Top 500 franchise companies selected by the Franchise Times in the United States.
Meanwhile, SPC opened two stores in the UK and three stores in France last year. It opens its first store in Canada this year. Paris Baguette operates a total of 450 global stores in nine countries, including the United States and China.
