Starting from March 1, Korean Air will be featuring a new Korean-style vegan meal inspired by traditional Korean cuisine as an inflight meal option.
The airline aims to cater to the growing vegan population while also providing an eco-friendly meal option that can help reduce carbon emissions.
The new Korean vegan meals are made with fresh vegetables and seasonal ingredients, inspired by traditional temple cuisine, and offer natural flavors.
Passengers in all classes can enjoy dishes such as steamed barley rice with burdock, roasted shiitake mushrooms, mung bean jelly salad, and roasted tofu with plum salsa sauce, while Prestige and First class passengers can enjoy ginkgo nut porridge and roasted yam with soybean paste.
Depending on the route and season, different types of Korean vegan dishes will be served.
In addition to the vegan meal option, Korean Air currently provides six other types of vegetarian meal options. Customers can pre-order their meals up to 24 hours prior to their flight's departure through the airline's website, mobile application, or service center.
Moreover, Korean Air will be introducing a new selection of carefully curated wines on board, starting from next month. The airline has expanded its wine selection beyond traditional French wines to include diverse wines from other European countries and continents. The new selection will be gradually added to all routes within the year.
Korean Air remains committed to providing passengers with a rich inflight experience by introducing a variety of meal options, including Korean cuisine.
