Hyundai Steel's Integrated Report '2022 Beyond Steel' has been recognized internationally for its excellence in integrated reporting by winning a Gold Award in the Online/Digital Report category of the 2021/22 LACP Vision Awards by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) for the second consecutive year.
Now in its 21st year, the LACP Vision Awards is a competition for annual and sustainability reports organized by the American Communication Federation, a world-renowned marketing research organization, that recognizes the best annual and sustainability reports with a Grand Prize, Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, respectively.
More than 1,000 companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations from more than 20 countries participated in the contest, and Hyundai Steel was the only Korean steelmaker to win a prize.
In 2021, Hyundai Steel became the first company in the industry to convert its Integrated Report to a responsive, web-based digital report in order to make its sustainability information more accessible to various stakeholders.
In 2022, the company focused on enhancing the reliability and readability of the digital report, so that users can quickly and accurately view the information they want in an optimized way on any digital device, including mobile phones and tablets, not just computers.
In the 2021/22 LACP Vision Awards, Hyundai Steel was recognized for the excellence of its Integrated Report's design and web implementation, earning a perfect score in six of the eight categories (first impression, cover design, message to stakeholders, content organization, financial information, creativity, message clarity, and accessibility of information) in the Online/Digital Report category, for a total score of 98 (out of 100).
In addition, the report was ranked 66th in the TOP 100 Reports Worldwide by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) among entries from around the world.
