[Zurich] The Hashgraph Association, a non-profit organization focused on driving the adoption of the Hedera network, has joined forces with Orange, a leading telecommunications company, to launch the AGV High-Speed Accelerator program in Morocco. The program aims to provide education and funding opportunities to young people interested in innovative technologies and promising startups in the blockchain sector. Through a suitable development and managerial support program, the accelerator will foster the growth, collaboration, and integrity of local businesses and build an ecosystem in Casablanca to attract innovators, entrepreneurs, and pioneers.
Orange has previously launched the startup accelerator, Orange Fab, in the Kingdom, and has now partnered with The Hashgraph Association to set up the AGV High-Speed Accelerator for startups operating in the blockchain sector. The Hashgraph Association has committed €100 million euros to support fintech and blockchain startups, with the aim of empowering young entrepreneurs to adopt digital assets and decentralized finance.
The partnership between The Hashgraph Association and Orange seeks to provide co-funding to entrepreneurs, start-ups, enterprises, government projects, universities, and academic institutions to develop and implement DLT, blockchain, and fintech solutions. The accelerator program will offer a wide range of learning modules based on an assessment of learning needs, including seminars, classroom training, coaching, mentoring, e-learning, webinars, and blended learning programs.
The AGV High-Speed Accelerator will enable global exchange programs to promote collaboration among members and like-minded entities in Morocco. The program will also provide opportunities for virtual and onsite events, allowing industry leaders to share their insights on emerging concepts and technology in the DLT, blockchain, and fintech industries.
The goal of the partnership between The Hashgraph Association and Orange is to promote the use of DLT, showcase the various applications of the technology, and empower the further development of Morocco.
Kamal Youssefi, President of the Board of The Hashgraph Association, says that through collaboration and education, innovation can thrive, and hopes that Casablanca will become a center of technological innovation and world-changing entrepreneurship. Hendrik Kasteel, Managing Director of Orange Morocco, emphasizes the company's commitment to empowering the development of Morocco by providing essential digital services adapted to everyone's needs and supporting local innovation through investment programs.
