DL E&C announced that it held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Golden Triangle Polymers Project in Orange County, Texas, USA on March 7 (local time).
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Yoo Jae-ho, head of DL E&C Plant Business Headquarters, along with personnel from the client.
The Golden Triangle Polymers project is a project ordered by Golden Triangle Polymers, a joint venture between Chevron Phillips Chemical and Qatar Energy.
It is a project to build two polyethylene production units with an annual capacity of 1 million tons, the world's largest, with the goal of commercial operation in 2026.
DL E&C won the project in July of last year. DL USA, a local subsidiary of DL E&C, will carry out the project jointly with Zachry Industrial, a US construction company.
DL E&C plans to apply cutting-edge technologies such as modular and BIM (construction information modeling) to provide solutions optimized for this project and carry out the business successfully.
DL E&C has experience in carrying out a number of projects carried out by Chevron Phillips Chemical, the client. Through this, it was recognized for its technological prowess and ability to carry out business, and won the Golden Triangle Polymers project.
As this project is DL E&C's first petrochemical plant construction in the US, it is expected to increase orders in the US market in the future.
