KT, a South Korean telecommunications company, has announced the release of an open beta version of its B2C metabus platform, called "Genieverse."
The platform can be accessed by searching for "Genieverse" on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and installing the application.
Genieverse offers various AI-based content, allowing users to decorate their own avatar and space, invite friends, and enjoy real-time communication in the metabus space.
One of the platform's most notable features is the "AI Home Twin" function, which applies AI space modeling technology. With this function, users can create a "Genie Home" where their avatars live, and if they enter their real-life address, their actual house will be implemented in the metaverse space.
Users can also personalize their avatars, Genie Home, and Genie Town with the concept of a house or village based on their personality. The platform offers 1,000 items for users to dress their avatars in desired clothes and place desired furniture and buildings in Genie Home and Genie Town.
Unlike other existing metaverse platforms that communicate with an unspecified number of people, Genieverse allows users to interact with friends they have personally invited, thus enabling them to share daily life and emotions in the metaverse space.
KT plans to hold launch events on Genieverse until April 11, including attendance check missions, inviting Geniverse friends, and accomplishing jump-up missions.
