Ssangyong E&C announced on March 13 that it recently signed a contract with ASML, a world-class semiconductor equipment company in the Netherlands, for the construction of a new Korean building in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do.
The new ASML Korea building to be built near Dongtan JC, Dongtan 2 District, Song-dong, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, has 4 floors below the ground and 11 floors above the ground, 2 buildings, and a total floor area of 74,418㎡. The construction amount is 200 billion won.
ASML is the No. 1 company in the semiconductor equipment field that supplies extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography equipment (equipment that prints integrated circuits on semiconductor substrates as designed), which is the most important process for semiconductor production, to the world. Sales are about 21.2 billion. It amounts to euros (approximately 29 trillion won).
ASML announced its investment in the campus, which includes a management center, remanufacturing center, global training center, and experience center, through a groundbreaking ceremony and press conference in November last year.
It is known that Ssangyong E&C was selected as the preferred bidder after receiving excellent evaluations in the bidding for this project and technology proposal PT, which were conducted in a comprehensive price and technology evaluation method, and even signed the main contract.
