A new internet service provider, Rebel Internet, has launched in the UK with the aim of disrupting the broadband industry and offering a better customer experience. The company offers nationwide fiber broadband and Wi-Fi services, with fair and transparent pricing, premium customer service, and a focus on eliminating common frustrations such as dead spots and buffering.
Rebel Internet's founders, CEO Tucker George and COO David Groth, believe that the existing broadband market is broken and controlled by a small number of big providers who trap customers and stifle competition. They offer zero contract periods and 24/7 customer service to counter the unfair pricing and cost-cutting of existing providers, with broadband pricing starting at £35 per month.
Rebel's fiber broadband service can connect 9.6 million homes to full-fiber broadband capable of speeds up to 1Gb, with a guarantee to upgrade customers to full-fiber for free when it becomes available. If 1Gb speeds are not yet available, customers can still enjoy speeds up to 80Mb.
In addition, Rebel is launching the UK's only Wi-Fi as a service through an affordable monthly subscription starting at £15 per month. This service is designed for people who are stuck in a broadband contract, allowing them to bolt on Rebel's plug-and-play Wi-Fi to their existing broadband and set it up in minutes with the Rebel app.
Rebel Internet's focus on providing a better customer experience and challenging the existing broadband market has earned it a Trustpilot score of 4.7, with a rating of 'Excellent' on the platform. CEO Tucker George believes that the industry needs a rebellion to counter the mistreatment of customers by big providers, and Rebel Internet aims to be at the forefront of that change.
