Com2uS announced today that its "Summoner's War: Chronicles" has achieved impressive sales of over 10 billion won within a week of its global release.
This represents a rapid growth rate towards the game's global sales target of 100 billion won within a year. The game's primary sales regions are Thailand, Japan, France, the US, Taiwan, and Germany, with an even ratio of 6:4 between East and West. It has also gained success in various other regions, such as Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Italy.
The continued increase in users shows promising mid- to long-term performance prospects for Chronicles. The number of users participating in the game from all over the world is increasing every day, with the cumulative number of global users exceeding 7 million. The game's major indicators, such as the number of concurrent users and daily users, are also trending upward.
The game's success can be attributed not only to the fandom effect of the Summoners War IP but also to its unique gameplay that emphasizes the strategic element of a highly-completed story and summoner-summoner combination. The game's accessibility has also been improved by supporting optimal play environments not only on mobile platforms but also on PC platforms like Steam.
In fact, Chronicles is currently generating 23% of total sales on Steam, which ranked 11th in global sales overall. The game is topping sales charts in various regions around the world, ranking first in France, Belgium, and Thailand and reaching the top 10 in Germany, Taiwan, Switzerland, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Com2uS Group's Hive PC platform is also increasing profitability by raising 5% of sales.
"Com2uS has achieved the best results by combining its global service capabilities and excellent game quality," said Han Ji-hoon, head of the game business division of Com2uS. "Chronicles as the world’s greatest hit that surpasses the reputation of ‘Summoners War’, and through this, we will create a solid global IP power."
