Merck, a German multinational company specializing in science and technology, will showcase new products and innovative ideas for the paint and coatings industry at the upcoming European Coatings Show 2023 in Nuremberg, Germany.
The event will take place from March 28 to 30, where visitors can explore Merck's latest pigment development in the blueish-red color gamut at the company's exhibition stand.
Merck's new bluish-red Colorstream pigment offers an intense red with exceptional hiding power, maintaining its red color from all viewing angles. It also provides Surface Solutions with the opportunity to expand its color palette with its new Colorstream F20-52 SW Mineral Red pigment.
The new silica pigment enlarges the red color gamut product range of Surface Solutions and is suitable for exterior and interior coatings. It can be used in both liquid systems and powder coatings, providing a long-lasting and intense red in a variety of application areas, particularly in the automotive market.
At the European Coatings Show, Merck will showcase products that demonstrate the diversity of coatings color, enabled by the use of pigments that change color depending on the viewing angle. These nuanced shade changes are increasingly being used in the automotive market. Visitors can expect a broad portfolio of red pigments, including Xirallic Cougar, Radiant Red, Meoxal Victoria, and Atacama Red.
Surface Solutions, one of the world's leading suppliers of effect pigments, provides important design elements when creating surfaces with special effects or qualities. The application possibilities range from cars and packaging to high-tech products and even building facades. Merck also offers pigments for functional applications, such as heat-reflecting or counterfeit-proof pigments, and effect pigments for the cosmetics industry, including active substances used in skincare cosmetics.
The European Coatings Show 2023 in Nuremberg represents the first opportunity for face-to-face interaction and expert exchange in this global sector since the Covid-19 pandemic.
