Merck, a German multinational company specializing in science and technology, will be exhibiting its latest cosmetics innovations at the in-cosmetics trade show in Barcelona, Spain from March 28-30.
One of Merck's innovations is the Ronaflux® pigment range which offers high color intensity and pronounced metallic optical effects without the use of metals.
The pigments are based on a new technology where ultrathin and stable carbon layers are homogeneously precipitated in a gas phase onto the pigments to produce intense colors and brilliant shades of blue and green without using chrome oxides, Prussian blue or other colorants. Merck's Ronaflux® pigments enable manufacturers to offer metallic blue and green shades that do not contain any metal-based pigments and meet strict regulatory requirements.
Merck will also present its expanded UV filter portfolio with the addition of Eusolex® Z-BASE and Eusolex® Z-TEC, zinc oxide filters that provide highly effective protection against both UVB and UVA rays. The products are Halal-certified and meet the highest quality and purity standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
Merck will also showcase two new additions to its algae-based skin renewal portfolio: RonaCare® JouvaMer and RonaCare® ReviMer. RonaCare® JouvaMer is an anti-aging booster that stimulates collagen synthesis and supports the extracellular matrix for denser, smoother skin.
RonaCare® ReviMer enhances the skin’s structural properties and protects the skin’s hyaluronic acid for firmer, more elastic skin. Both products can be used in a wide variety of topical products ranging from daily skincare to dermocosmetics.
Merck's RonaFlair® portfolio of functional fillers also provides alternatives to talc, an ingredient commonly used in skincare products and cosmetics that suppliers are increasingly looking to replace. Trade visitors can find Merck at booth Q40.
