On March 27, SK IE Technology (SKIET) held its 4th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders and board meeting in Seoul, where it appointed President Kim Cheol-jung as its new CEO.
During the shareholders' meeting, SKIET approved the 4th financial statement and appointed Kim Cheol-jung as Executive Director, while Song E-young, Kang Yul-ri, and Kim Tae-hyun were appointed as Outside Directors, with the latter also joining the audit committee.
President Kim Cheol-jung's appointment as CEO was based on his experience and capabilities in the secondary cell material business and his proven ability to identify new growth opportunities.
Meanwhile, the appointment of Song E-young, Kang Yul-ri, and Kim Tae-hyun as Outside Directors reinforces SKIET's expertise and management transparency.
The company has been expanding its global supply capabilities in Korea, China, and Poland and is now considering entering the North American market.
SKIET is focused on the eco-friendly business and the Electric Vehicle market, and aims to strengthen its market position by following each country's EV business policy to induce intra-regional production.
During the meeting, other agendas were also introduced and approved in their original forms with the consent of most shareholders.
"The company will leverage its unique capabilities to promote the commercialization of green materials and create new business opportunities to lead the market," said the newly appointed CEO and President of SK IE Technology, Kim Cheol-jung. "My vision is creating a company with greater future growth potential than its past achievements."
