Since 1999, MSCI, a global investment information provider, has evaluated the ESG management performance of listed companies around the world and has announced the results in seven stages, from AAA (best) to CCC (worst). The AAA rating is the highest rating that can only be obtained by companies that are in the top 6% of 198 banking industry evaluation targets.
KB Financial received an excellent evaluation compared to the global banking industry average in corporate governance, eco-friendly finance, and customer information protection.
KB Financial Group obtained an A+ grade in all categories for three consecutive years in the ESG evaluation of the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS), the most prestigious ESG evaluation in Korea, in November last year and won the grand prize.
In addition, it was included in the World Index for 7 consecutive years in the 2022 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) announced by S&P Global in the US in December, and was the first and only Korean financial company to obtain AAA rating in the MSCI ESG evaluation.
