Korean Air is supporting Korea's bid to host the World Expo 2030 in Busan, the second-largest city in Korea.
The World Expo is an international event that showcases humanity's achievements and addresses the challenges that our civilization faces. The host country for the World Expo 2030 will be chosen by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) through an election later this year.
Korean Air is providing various forms of support to the BIE Enquiry Missions visiting Korea in April. This support includes flight reservations and transportation.
Additionally, the airline is promoting Busan's bid for the Expo through its in-flight entertainment system and lounges at Seoul Incheon International Airport. The airline's in-flight magazine, Morning Calm, will also feature articles highlighting Busan's potential to host the World Expo 2030.
Furthermore, Korean Air is promoting the bid through its professional men's volleyball team, the Korean Air Jumbos. The airline will showcase promotional videos and messages of support for the Expo on the stadium's LED boards during the V-League championship.
The championship begins on March 30th at the Korean Air home stadium in Gyeyang, Incheon. The promotional activities will reach many volleyball fans and viewers across the country, providing support and encouragement for Busan's bid to host the World Expo 2030.
